Paul de la Guérivière

Chief Executive Officer

PAUL DE LA GUÉRIVIÈRE

Paul has more than 12 years' experience in developing and financing renewable energy projects all over the world which has given him an intersectoral and international vision. He has built up an extensive network of project developers, manufacturers and investors, in developed and developing countries. Prior to the foundation of Ideol, Paul was focused on developing new businesses in China and in area of carbon finance.

Paul holds a Master of Science degree from the École des Ponts ParisTech.

Thomas Choisnet

Chief Technology Officer

Thomas Choisnet Ideol

Thomas has extensive experience of offshore structures across all stages of the project, from concept development to detailed design, installation, operation and construction. Before joining Ideol, Thomas managed several teams and fast-track projects within Principia, an engineering company, where he headed up design projects for ships as well as fixed-base and floating structures. He started his career with Stolt Offshore (now SUBSEA7), where he was involved in complex deep-water projects in West Africa. He also worked in the shipping industry as a container ship superintendent.

Thomas holds a Master of Science in Naval Architecture from ENSTA - ParisTech.

Bertrand Dumas

Chief Project Officer

Bertrand Dumas Ideol

Bertrand has over 15 years' experience in the offshore industry. He started his career as a field engineer working on the installation and commissioning of offshore drilling platforms in Norway, Libya, Canada and the USA (Geoservices). He then joined an SME (Nereides) as project manager to follow-up and coordinate environmental projects (water/air quality and metocean monitoring). He went on to work as an offshore installation consultant at Technip. In 2007, he became project director then product manager for Cybernetix, a company specialised in providing solutions in robotics and automation for hostile environment interventions. Here, he developed and scaled up various prototypes with a 15-strong team of engineers.

Bertrand graduated with a Master of Science in Marine Engineering.

Stéphane Toumit

Engineering Director

Stéphane Toumit IdeolStéphane has over 17 years’ experience in the design and FEA simulation of offshore structures such as risers, cables, mooring systems and pipelines. His technical background, which comprises hydrodynamics and structural mechanics (he graduated both in Hydrodynamics & Marine Technologies and in Structural Mechanics), led him first at Technip as Flexible Pipe Design Engineer. He then joined Principia, a French SME delivering engineering and R&D projects to the offshore, marine renewables energies, naval and nuclear industries, where he spent 14 years successively as Subsea Project Engineer, Lead Design Engineer, Engineering Project Manager and Riser & Cables Group Manager. In this position, he led a team of over 13 engineers mostly working on risers and cables design projects and to a lesser extent on global analysis of floating structures.

Cédric Lemasson

Chief QHSE Officer

Cédric Lemasson IdeolCédric has extensive experience in HSE activities for offshore oil & gas projects. Prior to joining Ideol, he worked for over 10 years on the construction and installation of offshore structures for ACERGY/SUBSEA7 where he held the positions of HSE and QHSE director. His areas of expertise include the HSE management system, project methods and procedures, risk assessment, HSE audits on onshore/offshore sites, monitoring of suppliers, HSE events reporting, review and analysis.

Cédric holds a Master’s degree in Physics and in HSE and Risk Management.

Bruno Geschier

Chief Sales & Marketing Officer

Bruno GeschierEducated on both sides of the Atlantic, Bruno started his professional career as entrepreneur and international business development specialist in the US and Canada, focusing his efforts on the construction, engineering services and natural resources industries. He has then managed the international expansion, the foreign subsidiaries and the export activities of innovative and fast-growing SME in the consumer electronics, energy efficiency and renewable energy industries such as ALDES (leader in energy efficient HVAC and IAQ solutions) and FONROCHE ENERGIE (France’s largest private player in solar, geothermal and biogas power generation). Multilingual and multicultural, he holds a Master of Science degree in Management.  

Agnès Tixier

Chief Financial Officer

Agnès Tixier IdeolAgnès has more than 25 years of experience as CFO in international mid-sized companies.

She started her career in an investment bank based in Lyon specialized in mid-cap transactions, where she carried-out private equity investments and advised several companies on their IPO.

After she joined a group specialized in hotels and restaurants which later merged with Accor.

In 1997, she organized the IPO of Avenir Telecom, major actor in Europe for the distribution of products and services for mobiles phones. She worked there for 17 years.

In 2015, Agnes joined Transalliance in Luxemburg (600 M€ turnover), a group specialized in transportation, logistics and handling.

Agnes is graduated of ICN business school and holds a Master of Accounting. She is member of SFAF (French Society of Financial Analysts).

The organization also benefits from the support and guidance of its advisory board of directors. 

Its Board of Directors, whose role is to direct and control the strategic guidelines and Ideol's results, is made up of the following members :

The EU rewards Ideol with €2.5 million to finance the industrialization and commercial development of its technology

Ideol has just received a €2.5 million grant from the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 - SME Instrument programme. This funding is outstanding since this very selective programme only rewards 5% of the candidate projects.

Ideol raises €15 million to finance the acceleration of its international development

Ideol is pleased to announce the signing of a €15 million capital funding round, led by private equity firm Kerogen Capital (“Kerogen”), a leading energy specialist investor based in Hong Kong and London.  
This latest investment further establishes Ideol as one of the clear global front-runners in floating offshore wind. Created in 2010, Ideol has developed an industry-leading and internationally recognized floating foundation which promises to quickly become one of the most significant commercial solutions in the rapidly developing floating offshore wind industry. Ideol is already at an advanced stage of deployment with two floating wind demonstrators, built locally in France and Japan (two key markets). Ideol’s patented technology is designed to operate with both current and future large-scale wind turbines and to be the most cost-competitive solution in the floating offshore wind market.
